Finely made iron hilt with canted pommel, crisp with minor finger rust on original finish. 24" curved s.e. blade with slightly raised false edge and double broad fullers struck with a cluster of makers' marks each side. Smooth and crisp, near all original finish, some old black oxidation in whorl patterns suggestive of watered steel construction.
