Forged iron just over 2 ½” length. Tapered striking bar with a base spur to anchor it in use. Curved terminal forming the finger stall decorated with fine hammer formed transverse rib segments and matching scroll terminal. The curvilinear form is suggestive of the hull of the Viking long warship. Conserved sound excavated condition.
