In Norse mythology, the bat was capable of bewitching people and altering their behavior, so this amulet is likely belonged to a sorceress. Among Vikings, only women practiced sorcery. The bottom suspending three pendants, each tapered with spherical end with projecting tip over tapered baluster. The center, larger and those flanking, matched.
