Classic heart form. Slightly under 7/8" height plus the suspension loop. Central high domed heart, beaded surround and stepped base forming a border. The cusp bridged with another forming a pierced heart above a heart within a heart! The sixth points are nubbed as is common. That feature evidently had spiritual significance, now lost. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface wore from use and burial.
