Gilt bronze of extraordinary form. Circular, 1 1/8” diameter the perimeter with twelve triple nub clusters forming a Wheel of Fortune. These were worn in numbers on the jerkin as decoration as well as to provide a measure of protection against sword and knife attack. The lugs here would effectively stop and engage a hostile blade.
