20th century, evidently collected when new, possibly as a gift. The scabbard of fine leather work with tooled raised transverse bands, a single crocodile hide band and basket weave. Elaborate tassel terminal including cut in decorated pendants. Finely woven shoulder cord. The sword with 15 3/4" s.e. blade, forged with triple fullers. Tool finished with the point hammer finished. The hilt with reptile skin wrap. Showing very little use but definitely of age with evidence including the hilt skin shrunk and stitches pulled and the bald e surface dulled from contact with the skin scabbard interior. Extremely showy.
