6 3/4” X 4 1/2” lithograph of Shelley, (1792-1822) poet and author. Shelley, who died at age 29, was a highly controversial figure advocating free love a century before Virginia Woolfe. His writing has both suffered and benefited from vacillating cultural norms. Finely engraved by William Finden and professionally matted to 8” x 10” for an off the shelf frame from Michael’s, Walmart etc. Genuine early 19th century original.
