This 18th century brass and copper tobacco box has a repoussé top and bottom, the designs depicting Frederick the Great in battle. The reverse is decorated in seven identified siege and battle scenes. It was made by Johann Heinrich Giese (1716-1761), Iserlohn, Germany, Ca 1760. Giese was granted sole manufacturing rights of such stamped brass panels by Frederick the Great in 1755. Iserlohn tobacco boxes were manufactured both for local market as well as for the large Dutch market. Lid with short corner cracks. Lid and base with neat internal solder repairs.

For orders totaling $100 or more, our Standard Payment Plan is available to all of our customers. The total is split into 4 equal payments with the first payment required as a deposit. The balance will be due within 4 months, and your order will be shipped to you upon receipt of the final payment.

Extended Payment Plan (12 Months)

For orders totaling $600 or more, our Extended Payment Plan is available to all of our customers. The total is split into 12 equal monthly payments, with the first months payment being required as a deposit.

All payment plans are extended as a courtesy to our customers with no interest or fees.
It's important that the payment schedule be followed. Your order will be shipped upon receipt of final payment.
