Sleeve button from a trooper of the 17th Regiment of Line commanded by Colonel Chevalier Nicholas-Noel Gueurel. 5/8" diameter, bronze with back loop intact. Crisp with fine patina and a slight edge degradation only. Acquired in the 1980s by Derek Saunders for the Waterloo Museum, from descendants of the original finders. Probably buried for less than 20 years.
