Sleeve button from a trooper of the 48th Regiment of Line commanded by Colonel Oliver-Antoine-Constantin Peraldi Gueurel. 5/8" diameter, bronze with”bird cage” back loop intact. Crisp with fine patina and a slight edge degradation only. Acquired in the 1980s by Derek Saunders for the Waterloo Museum, from descendants of the original finders. Probably buried for less than 20 years.
