Forged iron with die shaped grips and forged on wick box with cutter/snuffer blade. Forged iron triple stand pins to hold it above the furniture and avoid scorching. Simple forged pin pivot. The construction distinguishes it from later examples which were used until lamp oil distilled from petroleum largely displaced candles.
