Iron, 27 5/8" length with ball terminal tubular haft. Rounded collar below fully modeled bull’s head with conical ears, and curved horns. Decorated throughout with spiral bands of foliage to the haft and foliate collar. The head with expressive eyes and nose, foliage, and kneeling nobles to ther ight side. Crisp. The haft bright and the head with gray/brown patina. See Stone fig.533 #10 for a similar example identified as 17th century.
