17th century. 29 1/4" length. Cane shaft with inset wood nock. The nock and fletch area pigmented. Fletching lacking as always found. Fine iron head of elongated pyramidal form on tapered socket. The head beautifully decorated in gold overlay (koftgari) in herring bone patterns on the point facets and scrolls on the socket. Used in the war of expansion under the 17th century Mogul Emperors, Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb
