17th-18th century. 28 5/8” length. Cane shaft with wood nock encased in painted silk wrap. Triple feather fletching replaced in antiquity. Fine forged iron point, a triangular section with the conical socket. Tapered silk-wrapped base to facilitate penetration. Used to breach mail armor and rarely, light plate. Sound is in excellent condition for the period.
