28 3/4" broad, curved double fullered blade in fine polish showing distinct hand forging and perhaps watered steel. Silvered hilt with heart shaped medial swell, chiseled throughout with naturalistic foliage. That feature is taken to identify examples of the period of Shah Jahan's reign, pre 1658. A little very minor finger staining at the forte otherwise excellent throughout. Fine quality and exceptional preservation for the period.
