1861 pattern, Wagner #150. Brass hilt originally gilt, with knuckle bow finely pierced with arms of Austria under the miter, and hand engraved detail. Cipher of Franz Joseph above. Wire wrapped leather covered grip. 33” curved broad fullered blade with chocolate brown patina and light film of surface oxidation. The hilt with uniform wear from use. Only a hand full of these deluxe pierced hilts have been encountered.
