Pattern which served in the American Revolution and probably the French and Indian War. See Swords and Blades of the American Revolution, 62.S where Neumann states that the pattern was adopted in 1767 but known to have been in use earlier. Brass hilt made in one piece with Stirrup form knuckle bow, ribbed grip and hooded pommel with tall button. 23 ¼” slightly curved wedge section blade. Excellent with good uniform age character throughout.
