Mediterranean walnut stock beautifully inlaid in silver wire foliage. The right side with a cursive owner’s name and the left with 1276 in Arabic numerals, which converts to 1859 Georgian calendar. Bone butt plate. Finely chiseled snaphaunce lock, crisp, with brown patina, probably faded from blue. The drum end and frizzen bridle only with wear to silver overlay. Expected evidence of very light use only. Exceptional quality and preservation.
