Late Roman to Byzantine, 3rd-5th century AD. Gilt bronze, size 3 ¾ for the small finger as was the custom. 2.3mm band flared to the shoulders. Raised circular bezel with cross surmounting a saltire. That motif was recognizable to Christians but could also have been explained as a starburst or version of the Wheel of Fortune under duress of persecution. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and jewelry gift box with a certificate of authenticity.
