These small globular pendants were popular among common women in ancient Rome. Some have been described as prostitute’s pendants and that view is widely published on the internet. This example is 6.0mm, under 1/4" diameter of medially ridged spherical form. It has been professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored.
