C.1770, 12 ¾” length, wood finely turned with barrel form head and elegantly swelled handle. Used primarily for driving wood tent stakes, this example with signs of aging (wood checks from shrinkage) but the faces carefully used on wood only and not scarred or otherwise abused. Great character.
