These two artifacts were purchased about 1960 from a tourist stop along US 27 in mid Michigan. Spikehorn’s Bear Park opened about 1930, providing entertainment, education and animal encounters for passing tourists. A web search for Spikehorn Meyer will produce considerable information and pictures as well as a book about his life. After his death, we purchased these two artifacts, displayed in his “cabin”. The club is 22” long with a crest above the ball, of light wood and weathered. The spear point is 5 ¼” length, Indian forged which is a great rarity with a relatively crude result.
