Type associated with the midwest industrial
states. Size 8 1/4, brass or bronze,
originally plated probably with
nickel. Note that nickel plating was
well established (as seen in pocket pistols) before the Civil War. Narrow band
flared and reeded at the shoulder with hatched
decoration. Hand finished
throughout. The bezel mounted with a red
stone showing a natural cleavage line.
Surface worn from its working life.
Good condition and wearable.
