original polish with slight surface dulling.
A single small spot, probably a finger mark, with dark oxidation near the
point. Original blade seat. Elaborate brass hilt of standard form
(Peterson #76.) Shows good patina and a little congealed old polish. Wire wrapped sharkskin covered grip
excellent. Variant form as produced in
Europe for American officers and designated non
regulation by Peterson.
