in the 1980s for our own collection and are unconditionally guaranteed
authentic. These seven examples are the
last of the collection. Whereas the
majority of such examples which come to market are reconstituted from fragments
and restored, each of these is undamaged and un restored.
Turnip form body painted with the head of a
woman within an elaborate sakkos facing left.
Additional decoration of palmett below the handle and vitruvian scroll
around the shoulder. Decoration slightly
faded on the back but crisp and finely delineated throughout. The front excellent. with minor flakes. Body finely formed with discrete stepped lip. Height 11 1/4". Extended Layaway is available for this item. |
