War of 1812 period. 32 1/2 curved broad fullered blade shows smooth dark patina with a little scattered pitting mixed in. Brass hilt with P form guard and integral back strap and pommel. Brass nicely toned from use and handling. The right langet slightly dented from a sword blow. Reeded leather covered grip made without wire wrap. The surface dry and congealed, but complete. A battle tested veteran of the War of 1812!..
