Early to mid 19th century. See Stone p.665 and fig. 853. Fine quality with 9 1/4” recurved edge blade with raised ridge above. Integral faceted bolster and faceted wood grip. Matching scabbard with carved scroll terminal raised edge at the top. The back with a large spatulate terminal horn belt hook secured by polished split cane bands (one lacking). Excellent for the period with just minor blemishes. The blade crisp with mottled gray patina. Only example we have offered in 47 years!
