Complete with its original scabbard and white leather shoulder belt. One piece brass hilt of 18th century briquet form with ribbed grip. The knuckle bow stamped ZEUGHS. ZURICH (the Zurich zeughaus or arsenal). 23 1/4" narrow fullered blade crowned Z over a trophy of arms one side and crowned lion over fur Gott und das Vatterland (for God and the Fatherland). Blade crisp and near perfect preservation. Hilt excellent with a few small surface blemishes. Brass mounted leather scabbard excellent with minor surface crazing. Original broad leather shoulder belt with polished white face and buff back, excellent as well. Complete outfit in extraordinary preservation.
