5 3/4 curved medial ridged d.e. blade of good quality and may well be watered steel. One piece black wood grip with expanded terminals. Wood scabbard sheathed in relief decorated brass, with hatched panel at the throat, tapered central panel with addorsed hounds tooth bands. The tip mounted with a brass thimble in the 19th century. Blade quite crisp with little superficial staining, a few pitting speckles, negligible. Grip sound and complete, good patina. Scabbard excellent for the period.
