Second half of the 19th century and showing the better quality workmanship associated with that period. 10" s.e./d.e. blade of characteristic form. Good quality with gray surface patina. Wood grip with vertical bands flanked by inlaid pellet clusters, the medial flared around and engraved brass band. Matching engraved flamboyant brass crest with the wood terminal of the grip exposed. Brass base mount and scabbard engraved to match. Uniform excellent condition for the period the tip mount intact and not dented as usually encountered.
