18th century example, fully mounted on its original haft. 66 1/4" length. Iron head with tapered socket and diamond section armor piercing blade, chiseled with stylized foliage at the base. Haft of natural solid core cane with the alternating nubs. Shows deep brown patina including over old surface slivers. Iron base with banded tapered socket, bulbous medial and slender grounding spike. Pitting to one side of the ball and grounding spike. Head shows dark patina with a little scattered pitting.
