The two handed sword of the Marathas who ruled much of Southern India from the 17th century through the 18th century. Good early example with 37 slightly curved triple fullered s.e. blade. Iron hilt of characteristic form with tapered pommel spur for two hand grip. Blade and hilt show uniform condition with crisp detail and light to medium pitting mixed to an excellent patina.
