One piece wood haft, slightly tapered through its length, polished over original tool finish. Octagonal head with simple transition, mounted with four pairs of especially long diamond section spikes. Heavy iron top ring. Heavy long diamond section top spike. All iron mounts retain near all original black painted or pitch finish. Haft shows mottled patina with age encrustation and slightly irregular from the natural grain of the wood. Length is 79". Good sound early example
