Early 19th century. See Stone Fig.739 #9. 60 1/2 length. Wood haft, four bands of red morocco leather with transverse basket weave band of tan and black split cane. Long alternate bands of hide with the fur on. Forged leaf shaped iron head and iron grounding spike opposite. Some wear and minor loss to the high points of the leather bands, but remarkably well preserved for the period with most hair intact.
