See Stone fig.275. 24 3/4 overall. Natural buck horns with iron caps and, iron balusters secured with iron rosettes, all with heavy sheet gold overlay, about 85% intact. Each horn with a fine iron tip of swelled conical form, incised with spiral motif, below recurved d.e. points. The form of those mounts emulating the tusk spears mounted on war elephants. Shows good uniform aging for the period. Exceptional quality, preservation and early example.
