SCOTTISH PATRIOT’S RING 18TH CENTURY SIZE 11

Gilt bronze size 11.  3.1mm band of low rounded section expanding toward the shoulders, each with a raised diamond motif. Transverse lozenge shaped bezel with a large saltire, X, the cross of Saint Andrew.  Rings such as this were worn in defiance of the law against display of Scottish patriotic symbols. Professionally refurbished with 24karat gold overlay for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
