Late medieval period C.1400-1600. Slightly over 1 ½” length. Plain beams with the cross beam above center. No corpus and both sides plain and flat. Identifying as Christian was important in some areas as the Mediterranean where Ottoman pirates captured coastal Italian and Balkan villagers who were either sold into slavery in North Africa or ransomed. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored on modern sterling silver neck chain. Gift boxed with certification of authenticity.
